Copperhead’s Complete Utility Locating System makes detecting underground utilities more accurate and efficient. The system is specifiable and offers engineers, municipalities and utilities a locating system that includes Copperhead copper-clad steel tracer wire, SnakePit® and Cobra™ Access Points, SnakeBite™ Locking Connectors, Ground Rods, and the ViperMag™ Pipe and Cable Locator. ⬝ (3) Ground Rod:
Locating an underground utility using tracer wire is accomplished by placing a low voltage charge on a target line. When the tracer wire system is grounded properly, the charge is pulled down the line, and a complete electrical circuit is created. Copperhead® Ground Rods are essential for a strong signal and accurate locate.
